Formulas (Main Menu / Data / Pricing / Formulas)
Overview
Pricing Formulas aka Mix and Match or Price Permutations. Pricing formulas affect the total amount charged when a quantity requirement is satisfied. The normal retail price of the item will be charged on all quantities less than the requirement.
Actions
Find - Selects and displays a pricing formula (see Find Dialog)
New - Adds a new pricing formula.
Edit - Edits the current pricing formula.
Delete - Permanently deletes the current pricing formula.
Save - Saves changes to the current pricing formula.
Cancel - Cancels the current operation.
Close - Closes the form.
Keys - Displays the on-screen keyboard (see On-Screen Keyboard).
List - Displays and optionally prints a list of formulas (see Formula List).
Help - Displays the help menu (see Help Menu).
Tool Tips - Hover the mouse cursor over any field descriptor to display a brief description.
Fields
Formula Number - A number between 1 and 99999999 acting as the primary lookup for this pricing formula.

Name - Entries limited to 40 alphanumeric characters.

Options 1-6 - There are six different options offered for pricing formulas. Check the applicable option.
Examples:
·Option 1 - Fixed total for multiples of quantity requirement listed
A product sells for 0.59 each, however you want to price it such that they are 2 for $1.00. Enter 2 in the Qty field and 1.00 in the total price.
·Option 2 - Percent off for multiples of quantity requirement listed
A product sells for 5.00 each, however you want to price it such that they are -10% off if 6 are purchased. Enter 6 in the Qty field and 10 in the % Off field.
·Option 3- Percent off for all quantities meeting or exceeding the quantity requirement listed
A product sells for 1.00 each, however you want to price it such that they are -15% off for all quantities of 3 or more. Enter 3 in the Qty field and 15 in the % Off field.
·Option 4- Fixed amount off quantities meeting or exceeding the quantity requirement listed in a single transaction.
A product sells for 14.99 each but subsequent quantities sell for $12.99 each. Enter 2 in the Qty field and $2.00 in the Amount Off field.
·Option 5- Fixed item discount amount applied after meeting the quantity requirement listed over multiple visits, limited to one formula per punch card ID. A maximum of three punch card programs can be in effect at one time.
Buy 6 any size coffees and get a $1.49 off. Enter 6 in the Qty field and 1.49 in the Discount field.
Note: The customer card must be entered before purchase to receive discount on current transaction.
·Option 6 - Custom formula (using Formula Scripting Language Wizard)
Click the Formula Wizard button to create a custom formula.
Formula Wizard Example
To start the Formula Wizard, check Option 6 and then press the Wizard button.
Press Continue and follow the prompts. The next couple of screens illustrate how to set up a formula whereby the customer will pay a total of $1.00 when they purchase a quantity of two.
