Journals (Main Menu / Data / Journals)

Overview

The electronic journal screen allows viewing journal tapes.

Actions

Video - Loads and plays the video recording of the highlighted transaction. Requires a supported camera and network video recorder (see Video Playback).

Signature - Displays the customer's signature captured at the time of sale from a supported customer payment terminal (see Digital Signature).

Close - Closes the form.

Keys - Displays the on-screen keyboard (see On-Screen Keyboard).

Print - Displays and optionally prints the journal tape (see Journal Tape).

Help - Displays the help menu (see Help Menu)

Tool Tips - Hover the mouse cursor over any field descriptor to display a brief description.

No Sale - Press to find the next occurrence of of a No Sale in the currently loaded journal.

X - Press to find the next occurrence of an X-Report (Shift Reading) in the currently loaded journal.

Z - Press to find the next occurrence of a Z-Report (Shift Close) in the currently loaded journal.

Payout - Press to find the next occurrence of a payout in the currently loaded journal.

Drop - Press to find the next occurrence of a drop or pickup in the currently loaded journal.

Loan - Press to find the next occurrence of a loan in the currently loaded journal.

Fields

Find - Enter the text to search for. The text can be anywhere on the journal and is not case-sensitive.

Store (Required) - Click the folder icon to select from a list of stores. (see Find Location). Click the "X" icon to reset.

Cashier (Optional) - Click the folder icon to select from a list of cashiers. (see Find Employee).. Click the "X" icon to reset.

Calendar - Click a date to load a journal matching the current filter selection.
